How would you describe the childhood of Saint Rose of Lima?

Saint Rose of Lima is the patroness of Latin America and the Philippines. Rose is known for being so beautiful that she pierced a wreath of flowers upon her head so deeply that she almost could not take it off. She also rubbed pepper on her face to make it blister on a separate occasion. She loved the lord and prayed for him to increase her sufferings to increase her love for him.
