Two ways of connecting to the internet?

1. Dial-up - You use a dial-up modem in your computer to connect to the internet over a phone line.

2. Ethernet - You connect to a cable / DSL modem with an Ethernet cable, either directly to the modem or through a router.

3. Wi-fi - You connect to a cable / DSL modem with a wireless card to a router, which is connected to the modem.

4. USB - you connect to a cable / DSL modem directly with a USB cable.

5. 3G - A form of wireless internet that communicates using cellphone towers.
