Reasons:
  • Someone in Government said so. Just like they did with Alcohol, which proved to the world, that prohibition will never work, so they said it was ok again!
  • There is no logical reason why they have chosen some drugs and banned others. You would think that the politicians would learn from the lessons in history! But they don't they'll use prohibition and despite all the money spent in trying and failing they just tell us they're winning the fight against Drugs. They'll have a lot of wars too etc etc.
  • Cocaine is illegal because it is very addictive and makes you care about nothing but getting high.
  • Hmm, doesn't this represent any other *legal* drug? Alcohol ringing a bell here? The truth is, there is NO reason cocaine is illegal other than fear. Unpredictable individual euphoria. Other than that? Ah....it's just another way to keep people in line. Think 1984 on a mass scale. The "fight against drugs", which does not, and never will, exist.
  • Well, young lad, cocaine is something that harms your heart, mind, and effects your future is a harsh way, that you won't want. You could die on your first snifferoo of that crapadoo so if your sniffing that crap STOP NOW. Remember wise man say live above drugs and that crap, LIVE ABOVE THE INFLUENCE.

It is illegal as a drug that has negative effects on your health, mind, and alertness. It is also sinful per all religions.

  • I agree with most of the last answer, but the government should not have to much control of what we do with are body. If we were going on death stats, driving would be up there with a 1 in 6000 chance in every 10,000 miles.... roughly of course. I agree if your a young person , don't try cocaine. some people get highly addicted and some can use it once and a while and be fine. but all in all id stay away from most drugs(ive tried most of em) and if you are gonna do drugs, only try them once and a while or a few times. Plus always research your drug, for its affects and how to take it as safely as possible.
  • Get real, The Government is the People! One of the reasons that cocaine is prohibited is that the proponents of legalization aren't sober enough and are not organized enough to contest the policy. This is what is called a "Self-limiting problem." Most cocaine users can't even spell "government".
