How do you change the flasher unit on a 2001 VW Beetle?

Was an easy one in the end! The flasher unit is built into the Hazard Warning Light button. Just behind the push in part of the button, underneath is a bit where you can lever the entire switch out. Once removed, a new one can be slotted into place.
