How do you make things pop up on power point?

Office 2010 answer; click to select any object on the presentation slide. Choose the Animations tab and select how you want the selected object to pop up; appear, fade, fly-in etc. On the Animations tab you can also control whether the object starts to "pop up" when the page is loaded or if you would like it to wait for you to click the mouse or press the space bar during the presentation.
