How fast can orang-utans run?

Orangutans are not particularly known for their running speed, as they primarily move through the trees. On the ground, they can walk or move quickly in short bursts, reaching speeds of up to 2 miles per hour (around 3.2 kilometers per hour). However, their strength and agility in climbing and swinging through the forest canopy are much more pronounced than their running ability.
