Leopards reproduce sexually, with mating typically occurring during the female's estrous cycle. After a gestation period of about 90 to 105 days, the female gives birth to a litter of usually two to four cubs. These cubs are born blind and rely on their mother for nourishment and protection until they are old enough to fend for themselves. As they grow, they learn essential survival skills, ultimately becoming independent and reaching sexual maturity at around two years of age.
