Yes, if you have mild symptoms like the sniffles it is okay to get the vaccine, however, if you have a high fever, you should wait until that is over. If you are under a doctor's care, then ask them if you should wait or get the vaccination.
When you go to get the vaccination, the clinician who will be giving it will ask you about fever or other symptoms and will decide if it would be better to wait. You can call and describe your symptoms to a pharmacist and ask them if you can still get the flu vaccine.
