Good question! I have not seen these since I was about 12 to 14 years old in the mid-1980's. My parents used to buy these at a mall in Connecticut where they were sold at one of those candy vendors in the "mall hallway". They were scooped out of a bin and placed into a white bag. I remember distinctly because I have always considered myself a candy connoisseur or sorts, and Brach's has consistently provided some of the best candy I have ever had in my life only for me to see it disappear as I've gotten older. Another of my favorites that was discontinued in 2003 was the Brach's Villa Cherries. I used to love these and I have NEVER tasted any other brand that came close to matching the greatness of this chocolate covered cherry. I just recently found that, after consumer outcry, Brach's is now selling a new version of the old Brach's Villa Cherries and I have yet to try that out but I am ordering some to test out now. Maybe you can locate the Brach's Coconut Bon Bons in the same place. The site is "http:/www.candyfavorites.com If you do ever locate the Brach's Coconut Bon Bons, please post here so that I can find some myself. And for those of you who might read this and decide to post some other brand of coconut bon bon that you THINK is similar, don't bother to embarrass yourself. I have tasted many versions of coconut bon bons over the years from MANY different candy makers, searching for the elusive equal to this great-tasting candy, and I can tell you one thing for certain . . . NONE of them have ever stacked up to Brach's for a candy connoisseur like myself. Good luck in your quest!
