Why does kyo say she should fall in love with the person who gave her the hat in fruits basket?

The person who gave her the hat: Yuki. Kyo was just upset, because he could've saved Tohru's mom when the car came, but he would've turned into a cat, so he didn't, and Kyoko said " i won't forgive you" but, she didn't get everything out, she meant to take care of Tohru or she wouldn't forgive him. He never met Tohru at the time, but he HAD met Kyoko a long time before. You'd have to keep reading on, if you haven't.

But don't worry, they end up together anyways :D

(SPOILERS) Tohru and Kyo kiss - twice, though Tohru was unconscious once. Tohru was hurt when she thought she had been rejected by him, but he only was regretting what happened with her mom when she died and he didn't save her. He kisses her later, after when she falls off a cliff (not by him though, total accident

• she was with Akito at the time when they were making friends with

each other)

And he kisses her though she didn't know. Later on after she gets out of the hospital he apologizes for everything, and they kiss again. In the end they move away somewhere, and later it shows how they come back, but they're an old couple now, and it shows their granddaughter. In the middle of the book it shows Kyo and their son as a sketch, just a fill in the space sketch, and then another page, then the next page after shows Tohru. The full pic:

But it never actually shows their son, or his name or whatever.

Yuki ends up with Machi from the student council :D
