Did Larry McMurtry ever live in Durango CO or own property there?

Larry McMurtry did not live in Durango, Colorado, nor is there any public record of him owning property there. He was primarily associated with Texas, where he spent much of his life and drew inspiration for his writing. While he traveled and had connections to various places, Durango was not one of them.
