How do Kings become Kings?

A royal family can be chosen for a number of different reasons during the beginning of the new kingdom, it could be a war hero, a natural born leader, or even because some believed certain people were "preordained kings and queens" and it was predetermined by their higher power. Then the crown would usually be passed down directly to people in that family line. In some of the countries that were ruled by the Predistined Crown, the crown was sometimes taken by force, through murder. This usually occurred during war or chronic hardship in a kingdom. the Overtaker would then rule.
