Was the death related to the war Abrahan Lincoln?

Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 14, 1865, shortly after the conclusion of the Civil War. His death was directly related to the war in that it stemmed from the tensions and divisions that the conflict had exacerbated. The assassin, John Wilkes Booth, was a Confederate sympathizer who opposed Lincoln's policies and the Union victory. Therefore, while Lincoln's assassination occurred after the war ended, it was a consequence of the deep-seated animosities that the war had created.
