Yes, rabbits need plenty of toys to keep them busy. They will chew on electrical cords and get into trouble if you don't keep them busy and happy. So be sure to give them toys that are very safe and custom made for rabbits.

Hard plastic toys from stores, cardboard boxes, old phonebooks they can tear into, toilet paper tubes that can be a little messy if your rabbit likes throwing it around, but it makes a good toy.

Cardboard, wood and paper are harmless to rabbits. They can eat and chew through any of it. So nut balls, wooden carrots, wood baby blocks, wagon wheels or anything else that is in stores are all safe. Make sure that there is only food coloring that is non-toxic to rabbits.

Homemade toys are dangerous, except for a few the store owners suggest. here are a few homemade safe toys. Apple twigs, only the twigs, not logs, 2 by 4's, okay? Only twigs. They'll mostly chew off the bark and eat the blossoms. Another homemade toy that is good for your bunny is a toilet paper tube stuffed with hay. They will throw it around and chew through it to get the hay beneath it.

Rabbits need ORCHARD GRASS hay, not alfalfa, like what horses eat. Do not give them alfalfa hay. For more information on what rabbits can eat, research on the Answers.com bar, "what plants can rabbits it" it includes fruits, vegetables, pellets and hay, as well as housing and toys.

Good luck with your rabbit!

~Have a blessed day!~
