What is the reciprocal parent function?

the reciprical function is the inverse of sorts of regular functions. Think of it this way. the reciprical of x, or x/1 is 1/x. The reciprical of 1/2= 2/1 or 2. Same thing follows here:

ex. f(x)=1/x , or f(x)=x^-1
