Are all houses on a ring main?

I assume this question refers to electrical installations in buildings.

In which case, the answer is no. The ring main is unique to the UK and to some countries that have adopted the British wiring regulations. Elsewhere, such as in North America and Europe, ring mains are unknown in domestic installations.
