Is there a stone fox two?

As of now, there is no official sequel to the children's novel "Stone Fox" by John Reynolds Gardiner. The original story, published in 1980, remains a standalone tale about a young boy and his dog competing in a sled dog race. While the book has gained a lasting legacy and is often taught in schools, no follow-up book has been released to continue the story.
