What period did the protoceretops live in?

Protoceratops lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 75 to 71 million years ago. This dinosaur thrived in what is now Mongolia and is known for its distinctive frill and beak-like mouth. Protoceratops is considered an important ancestor to later ceratopsians, such as Triceratops.
