What is the correct sequence for medical physicians' training?

Doctors complete 4 years of medical school and then pass national medical board examinations to receive a medical doctor (MD) degree. They may then begin residency training, which lasts at least 3 years. A physician may choose to specialize further by doing fellowship training.
