How old does a person have to be to ride a motorcycle alone?

16 years of age is the requirement in the USA, and generally suggested by all manufacturers. However, off-road motorcycles truly ridden off-road are not restricted. Our kids rode motorcycles alone at a young age (5), but only off-road (small dirt bikes) and with full equipment to prevent injuries.
