Who was the magazine editor who campaigned to make Thanksgiving a holiday?

Sarah Josepha Hale was the editor of a woman's magazine for nearly 50 years in the early 1800s. Credited for being one the driving forces behind the establishment of Thanksgiving, she wrote dozen of articles in her magazine asking for the government to establish a national holiday for it. So far it was being celebrated on different days in different states. She organized a letter-writing campaign to governors and presidents over a span of nearly 40 years.
