It is possible that the ambulance company does not participate in the billing process. Lots of medical providers do not because of the cumbersome process and the mountains of paperwork involved.
Suggestion: Call them and ask if they participate. If they do, ask them to re-submit the bill to your insuror, making certain that the coding they used was correct.
If they don't participate, it will become YOUR responsibility to pay the ambulance bill yourself, and YOU will have to file YOUR OWN claim with your insuror.
Either way it was YOU that receive the service and it is YOU that is responsible for paying them their expense.
