What could cause the front right wheel of a 1993 Buick Lesabre to become extremely hot after driving only a short time while there is no unusual sound of friction or rubbing?

your wheel bearings are probobly lacking lubrication (grease),you should have it checked by a qualified technician as the bearings are liable to collapse and cause loss of control. I've had a similar problem with my 93 LeSabre at 146000 miles. The right front wheel had a bad brake hose. The hose softened up and the brake fluid remained in the calipers causing the wheel to become hot enough to cook eggs or at least burn yuour hands. The odd thing with this was the car would not pull to one side as you would expect. Once the hose was replaced the car is fine.
