How do you secure a door mirror to the auto.is it glued and what type and how to.thankyou?

my friend has a 1998 Taurus and his wife tore the mirror off and we glued it back on using a two part Marine adhesive from Lepage or simillar co. T

the glue comes in a dual syringe container so there is no measuring req'd .just mix and apply, use some Duct Tape to hold it till it dries and it's stonger than steel... Hope this answer helps!
