Why did 4kids lost there right to make more mew mew power episodes?

I'm not quite sure what the whole deal was, but I think the main problem was that 4kids took way too many liberties with the show by changing the character names and personalities, and even some of the plot lines. I think the original creators were angry and frustrated with what happened to their story, and they didn't give the rights back for the second season.
