How do you replace the fog light switch on a subaru legacy 2000?

If yours is the same as mine then, if you look at the speedo controls, you will find 4 screws, 2 on the inside top and 2 on the bottom of the plastic trim which houses the fog switches and heated rear demister and headlamp washer if you have it. carefully prize the trim out being very careful as you dont want to break any wires, you will see the connectors going to the switches. i would disconnect all so it's easier to work on, you press a little button on the side of the clip and pull and the connectors should come off. Then remove the fog switch which is just clipped in and put new one in. put trim back and you should be fine. Mark connectors so you don't forget which goes where. All in all this job should take no more than 45 minutes and that is me allowing more than enough extra time for someone who has never done this task before.
