Does minocycline affect birth control

Study after study shows that the vast majority of antibiotics, including minocycline, do not change how well Birth Control works. Anecdotal evidence from prescribers mean many still recommend using a backup birth control method for a week after a course of antibiotics is done. However, nobody suggests that using minocycline long-term for acne has any effect on how well the birth control pill works.
