Can you be pregnant with triplets?

Triplets occur naturally in about 1/8000 births. The older a woman is the more likely she is to have a multiple birth naturally, the reason for this is not fully understood.

The use of fertility drugs and fertility treatments has increased the rate of multiple births. Multiple-birth pregnancies are more likely to result in premature birth than those from single pregnancies. 91% of triplets are born preterm, compared to 9.4% in singletons.
