Why does the battery fuse on my 2005 harley Davidson sportster blow everytime I put a new one in?

A hot wire is touching ground somewhere, it could be at the ignition switch or any other wire that is connected to that fuse. Chaffing is a common problem with motorcycles so look for places where the wiring passes close to the frame.
