What is hary Truman motivation for opposing communism?

Truman took over the presidency at the end of WW2 and Stalin was taking over Eastern Europe. In the negotiations with Stalin and Churchill Truman could see that Stalin was planning to import communism. He felt he got on "bad deal" in the division of Berlin and worked to protect Russia against further invasion. The Cold War had begun and the western nations began their policy of containment.
