Why do you place a dime under the infant of Prague?

Good question! Oftentimes we don't understand the reason for a spiritual practice and blindly follow tradition. While this is acceptable for most, many others find that knowing why a tradition exists deepens it's value.

Putting a coin under the Infant of Prague symbolizes allowing Christ to manage your finances. In some places the value of the coin doesn't matter. This practice simply represents that with a coin under the care of the Baby Jesus you will never be completely destitute and without money.
