Did judy blume always want to be an author?

Judy Blume got inspired to be a writer because as a child she loved making up stories in her mind. No one person inspired her, but she credits everything around her as an inspiration write--her memories, her family, things she sees in her everyday life or reads about, anything that captures her imagination.
