Why does Juliet go to friars Laurence cell?

Juliet goes to Friar Lawrence's cell in the hope that he will be able to devise a plan for her that will prevent her marriage to County Paris.

The Friar gives Juliet a potion which will make her sleep, this is all part of the plan to reunite the two lovers.
