How do you make a no-sew Barbie dress?

There were kits made by Mattel in the 1960s called Sew Free in which you could make Barbie dresses.

There were kits made by Mattel in the 1970s called Sew Magic in which you could make clothing for Barbie, Ken, Francie and Skipper, and you could even make rag dogs or stuffed animals.
