Why would your ex boyfriend send you a drunk text and then not reply when you replied to him?

If you texted back you might have texted after he was sober. Or maybe since he was drunk he didn't notice until after that you replied. Either way you should take it as a sign because drunk texts let people say what they wouldn't be able to when he was aware of what he was doing.
