Active Packaging is a type of passaging that can control or react to things going on inside the packaging. For instance, some types of active packaging will control the temperature inside the packaging; others control the moisture levels. Active packaging can also have systems that are anti-microbal which extend the shelf life of their contents without the need of additives.
