Following instructions is very important, unless you are knowledgeable enough to understand how to accomplish a task without them.

Failure to follow instructions can have any or all of these unwanted outcomes:

1) improper operation of equipment

2) unexpected results from its use

3) damage to equipment or materials

4) injury to yourself or another

5) waste of time and money
