Number 1 is make sure the power is off before entering the scene. Make sure 911 or emergency number has been called. Perform ABCs on the patient when it is safe to enter the scene. If the victim is breathing and has a pulse, keep airway open and monitor patient. Bleeding may have to be controlled as well.
