Kinda... He used the "drip drop" technique, which is kind of a cop-out and takes little talent. He admits he picked it as his signature style because it is easy in some interview. Furthermore, a large amount of his work were silk screen copies that he would sign and sell for loads more then lithographed pieces. That is where he made serious money. So the answer is yes, but that it was easy and he sort of cheated with the copies. Nevertheless, he is the BEST artist of our lifetime and was a genius.
