Can you just disconnect the battery in a VW Golf 1994 to install a new battery without having any problems with the alarm?

Just done mine with no probs no problem at all,just make sure you have the key in the doorlock to turn the alarm off,that alarm is very loud and I almost sh.. myself a cpl of times forgetting about the alarm coming on hooking her back up lol. Another thing you have to look out for is that in case you have a factory Stereo that you have the code for it.
