What household substance could you use to treat ant stings?

If they are fire ant stings make sure you pop the white tip off and squeeze the poison out or you will risk infection. Then wipe the sting very well with alcohol or another astringent like seabreeze. Cover the stings with triple antibiotic ointment and they should heal within a few days.
