What is the importance of ICT in computer science?

Information and communication technologies (ICTs) include any communication device including radio, television, cellular phones, computer and network hardware and software, satellite systems, etc and the various services and applications associated with them, such as videoconferencing and distance learning.

When applied to computer science, it would help in the development of new software and hardware, mobile applications, etc.
