What kind of eyes does a Goliath beetle have?

Compound is the type of eyes which the Goliath beetle has.

Specifically, the beetle in question (Goliathusspp) has as an eye on either side of its head. Each eye lets the beetle see what is above, alongside, around, behind and beyond the beetle since each part is assigned responsibility for a set direction. Eyelash-like scent receptors project sideways from each eye.
