Who came first Super Sayian or Super Sonic?

After much debate, I finally got my buttocks in gear and looked the answer up myself. Super Saiyan was first seen at the end of the Freeza saga in Dragon Ball Z. That was first aired in 1991 IN Japan(North American unknown). Super Sonic was first seen in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 which was released in 1992 in Japan, US, and Europe.
