Can Dilaudid cause you to fail a drug test?

Yes. Dilaudid is an opioid and will flag positive just like morphine, hydrocodone, and codeine. A routine screen will only indicate 'positive for opioids' and will not indicate which opioid is the cause. Advanced screening can reveal this though if the examiner orders it.
