What is hemicrania continuum?

Hemicrania continuum is a chronic headache disorder characterized by unilateral headache pain that can vary in intensity and is often accompanied by autonomic features, such as nasal congestion or tearing. It presents with continuous headache interspersed with exacerbations of more intense pain. The condition is typically responsive to indomethacin, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which helps distinguish it from other headache types. Diagnosis is based on clinical criteria, and treatment may also include other medications if indomethacin is not tolerated.
