To properly transplant pepper plants into pots, first choose a pot that is at least 12 inches in diameter with drainage holes. Fill the pot with well-draining soil and create a hole in the center. Gently remove the pepper plant from its current container, being careful not to damage the roots. Place the plant in the hole in the new pot and fill in with soil around the roots. Water the plant thoroughly and place it in a sunny spot. Keep the soil consistently moist and fertilize every few weeks.
