Is it true that Preparation H is good for swollen gums?

I don't know about that but I am sure that it is not meant to be ingested. I would try an antiseptic mouth wash like Listerine and if that does not work go see your doctor.
Preparation H is not recommended for oral use. Contains hydrocortizone.
