How were emotions and visuals triggered by the scene? It's effects are quite similar to the first person narration. The reader feels more like they were actually the person experiencing whatever is described by the story. It feels more real and personal. A difference between the two is that in first person, they might imagine that they're next to the author, who's telling their own story, while in 2nd person, the readers are the character.
