What is the difference between annual and perennial grass?

Annual- A plant that can finish its life cycle in just one year. an example would be a tulip.

Perrinanial- A plant that takes more than two years to complete its cycle. one example would be a conifer.

There is also a biennial plants that take two years only.

I only know this because we are on our plant unit in school.
